“Heavenly Bound” is a collection of my mother’s thoughts and life experiences as a Christian.
In this book, I include letters that she wrote when she was passing. Her comforting letters help prepare readers for when they pass on and go to heaven. These letters were written to family members and friends. Reading them tore my heart out. However, I knew that she lived her life to the fullest, loved her family and friends, and was looking forward to all of us to being together with her in heaven one day.
My mother asked me, prior to her passing away, to help her publish a book that would help others to be saved and reach their goal to heaven. After she passed away, I gathered all the letters she had written to each individual, along with the story she put together sharing her experience as a Christian, and what it took to prepare herself for going to heaven. I wanted to publish this book to honor the Lord and my mother and spread her comforting words with the world.
My whole life growing up, my mother was no doubt my best friend. She was a special woman that had enough love to share with my dad, and all of us kids, loving each of us equally and having enough love for others.
We had a family of six, but when mealtime came, my mother made sure that there was plenty of food for family/friends. My mother was the person that all the kids around the block would consider “Mom.” Also, she made sure every week to make it by the nursing home to play cards or dominoes with those that had no family. The smiles on their faces that glowed when she arrived were priceless to her. My mother was a very caring and loving person that meant the world to all of us.
Going through life growing up as a kid, I was involved in all types of sports, which took a lot of my mother’s time. I was one of four siblings, but she always found time to take me to practice, and never missed a single game or track meet. My mother took pride in all of my accomplishments and she made me feel proud.
My mother gently led us to Sunday school and church when we were young, teaching us the values and responsibilities that would carry on into adulthood. She taught me to honor my mother and father which would give me a long life, full of blessing.
My mother never saw any wrong done by my wife nor the upbringing of our kids. My mother taught me to show love to my children and grandchildren, which will be passed down, generation to generation as I teach them the lessons she taught me.
I love you mom, and that will never grow old.
