I was asked, at vacation Bible school when I was a kid in grade school: “If I could be anyone in the world who would I be?” My answer to the teacher in the class, who was amazed at my answer, was: “Myself.” The kids laughed and did not understand why this was my answer. I was happy with who I was and knew I was capable of doing anything I put my mind to. At the end of the class, I remember the teacher coming over to my mother and telling her how proud she was of the answer I gave in class. At the time, I was young and embarrassed. I am very thankful for my mother and father for raising me the Christian way. I know now, more than I knew back then, that the love I received from Jesus Christ and my parents, was all I needed. There was no other person that I would want to be
As the years progressed and I got older, I continued to go to church with my immediate family and continued to learn the word of God– which included learning right from wrong. Your body is like a vehicle. You need to maintain it and keep it running well, keep it clean and use your turn signals. People fail to use turn signals when making the right choices through life. I made sure to turn on the right direction signal when making that change. Once I made that turn, I made sure I was headed in that right direction. There are those that get lost and head down that wrong road. I made sure that I was one of those that did not come to that fork in the road without knowing which direction to turn and to trust God.
It’s hard to plan your day until you have a plan for your future. There is never a day or night before I go to bed or get up in the morning that I do not pray and thank God for that day and to guide me through the day to come. I thank him for all the opportunities that He has brought before me, and the many blessing to follow. I thank my mother and father for being role models for me and giving me the fullness of excitement, enthusiasm, and confidence that it takes to make that Christian foundation strong within me.
The way you represent yourself throughout life determines the level of trust people will have in you. If you envy Christian people, it keeps you from doing the things that you need to do to become a Christian. I hang around
It goes to show that if you associate with your Christian friends, whether they have what you want in life, or nothing at all, it’s your choice as a Christian. You may need to work twice, three times or even more than that person, but you too can accomplish great things.
For years, people told me how very lucky I have been with my business, the possessions I have, and the love and closeness I have with my family. There’s no secret at all, all good things come through Jesus Christ.
